Business Start-up is a process that involves only registrations of individuals or entities which does not include investment or business licenses.
There are only three basic steps to starting a business:
Step 1 - Registration for the establishment of the enterprise shall take no more than 10 business days in accordance with Decree No.0023/MOIC.DERM, dated 09 January 2019;
Step 2 - Sealing and requesting seal permission shall take no more than 5 business days in accordance with Decree No.1784/MoPS, dated 02 October 2018;
Step 3 - Social Security registration will take no more than 2 business days according to the Instruction No.1206/MoLAS, dated 23 April 2019
According to the Business Start-up Notification No.0115/PSO.DERM, dated January 29, 2020, there are procedures and modifications have been amended such as:
1. The office/branches certificate forms will be eliminated in accordance with Notification No. 1596/DERM.MOIC, dated 15 November 2018, either registration of enterprises in the service sector of the banking sector;
2. The registration of the Companies Act is postponed in the next step after the business has been operated in accordance with Notification No. 1618/MOF, dated 30 May 2019;
3. The taxpayer identification number will be provided together with the enterprise license in accordance with Notification No.5489/TD, dated 17 October 2018;
4. The orientation and delivery of the taxpayer identification number is postponed to the next step after the business has been operated, accordance with Notification No. 5489/TD, dated 17 October 2018 and Notification 0489/CO.MOF, dated 05 March 2019;
5. Registration of VAT has been canceled in accordance with Notification 2720/CO.MOF, dated 12 November 2019;
6. Seal registration is incorporated into the sealing procedure in accordance with Decree No.1784/MoPS, dated 02 October 2018 and Notification No.2140/ PSO.DERM, dated 03 October 2019;
7. Enterprise’s license plate has been canceled in accordance to the Notification Post No. 49/CO, dated 10 March 2019 of the Notification No. 2823/ PSO.DERM, dated 26 November 2018.
