The Department of Import and Export, Ministry of Industry and Commerce on behalf of the office of the Trade Facilitation Secretariat (TFS) will organize the Third Trade Facilitation Secretariat meeting on 3rd February, 2014 at the Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane Capital. The meeting will be hosted under the honourable chairmanship of Mrs. Khemmany Polsena, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Industry of Commerce, who is also the Head of the National Trade Facilitation Secretariat. All members of the National Trade Facilitation Secretariat have been invited to participate at the meeting.
The meeting will present a progress report on the implementation of the Trade Facilitation programme of Lao PDR in fiscal year 2012-2013; an evaluation of the implementation of the trade facilitation strategy over the previous year and also it will report on the achievements and difficulties. The meeting will also listen to the report on the situation of the delivery mechanism for Trade Information to the Lao PDR Trade Portal, the improvement of the coordination mechanism between the private sector and the Trade Facilitation Secretariat.
