In order to improve the service mechanism and management at border check points throughout the country so as to be accurate, faster and increasingly compliant with international standards and ensuring the accuracy of implementation of regional trade agreement that Lao PDR is a party to, WTO membership and in preparation for the ASEAN Economy Community (AEC) in the coming year 2015, the Ministry of Finance has issued Notification No. 2144/ MOF, dated 09 August 2013, to temporarily suspend Instruction No 1325/MOF, dated 20 May 2013 requiring registration of public asset documents at international border check points.
