The value of import-export of Lao PDR in January 2019 achieved approximately US$ 787 million (excluding import and export of electricity). In that, the import value was approximately US$ 420 million and the export value was approximately US$ 366 million.

Main import products are Fuel (Diesel), Vehicles other than Tractors and Motorcycles, iron and Articles of iron or steel, Insulated wire, cable, Mechanical appliances, Electrical machinery and equipment, Steel bars and transformed steel, Plastics and articles thereof, Video camera equipment, Spare parts of vehicles(including Rubber, glazes, Chain...), Super and Regular. . For other goods cover 30.70% (Excluded from the pie chart).
3. Illustration of export countries
Main export countries are China, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, Switzerland. For other country covers 3.87% (Excluded from the pie chart).
4. Illustration of import countries
Main import countries are Thailand, China, Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Austria, USA, and Singapore. For other country covers 3.02% (Excluded from the pie chart).
